The effect of one-month administration of Bio-normalizer (BN) on the immunological, biochemical, and antioxidant functions of the blood and serum of 14 healthy and unhealthy subjects was studied. There was an observed increased mean rate of interferon- γ production in both groups. The interferon-α production slightly decreased after the second week then went up to the original level on the fourth week of BN administration. Interferon-α and γ correspond to non-specific and specific immunological functions, respectively. The results suggest that the enhancement of immunological functions may improve the general condition and the quality of life of patients with impaired immune competence.
